Default 1996 accord ex 2.2 vtec distributer

The F23A1 is the only direct interchangeable engine for the 96-97 accord which comes from a 1999 accord my question is will the distributer from the 1999 work in a 1996 ???? As the distributer from 96-97 is a highly sought after part and hard to come by used can anyone help me with this????????

30100-P0H-A01 is the distributor from 1996 EX
30100-PAA-A02 is the distributor from 1999 LX or EX

Not sure, but I think they revised the timing sensors inside the distributor. It's almost like you have to grab the PCM & wiring along with the engine.

thank you and this is what I had thought because there are shelves loaded with that paticular distributer but you cant find the one I need so rather then spending all that time and money I'll wait out a parts car ! Unless someone has any ideas but once again thank you for your input JIM!!

Do you have the donor car or just the engine?

Grab the PCM and the engine wiring harness, and I bet there's somewhere you can get an adapter harness. I've heard of people putting an F23 into their 5th-gen so it isn't impossible.
