ok I'm fairly new to working with these cars and my wife's 97 honda accord (6 cylinder) EX has been making a clicking sound which accelerates with the engine rpm's. It has happened in the past, usually when it was low on oil, and whenever I changed the oil the noise would stop, for awhile anyway. I'm wondering if anyone else has had this same problem, and if it's something I can adjust myself, I'm fairly handy with a wrench.

Valve lash adjustment?

I've done it on 4-cylinders (pretty easy if you've done valve lash on any other car). I can only guess that the V-6 is about the same.

 

where do i get the specs for the adjustments? It seems pretty simple, but what is actually involved in a valve lash adjustment? no seals or anything i need to have handy?
