2002 Honda Accord LX Starter Trouble?
Hi, I just bought a 2002 Honda Accord LX...I love the car except that the starter has the key security feature that requires you to push the key in, then turn it in the ignition. When I go to do this, it takes me a few minutes to pop it into place passed the safety feature to turn the key and start the car. While I don't think it's how I'm turning it, does anyone or has anyone experienced this problem with their car? Could it be the starter? Problems with the key?
Thanks...
Thanks...
If key is difficult to insert/turn, the key may be worn. A new key should cure the problem. This key may need to be coded to work with your ECU. Honda and some locksmiths are equipped to program the key.

Hi TexasHonda, so I went to Home Depot to see if a new key would do the trick. I tried and it wouldn't even turn on. My original key turns on faster. While it's getting easier to turn on...sometimes I still have to try a few times. I don't want to ruin the ignition. What should I do now? Or what do you think is the problem?
