Question 2003 Honda Accord V6 coupe - where to start?

Okay so I have my 2003 Honda Accord V6 coupe. It has 115,000 miles on it, leather interior, after market rims, and I got it for a little over 5k.

Anyway, where do I start? I wanna give it as big of a performance boosts I can with a little over $1,000. I am a beginner with cars, but my friend is a mechanic, so I just wanna get a basis of what I should ask him to do. I have heard about turbo charging, would that be a possibility? What would I have to replace?

hmmm, well its is fairly impossible to get huge improvemets with only 1000$. what type of performance are you looking for? corning and handling, or downright straight line speed?

I'd start by changing your timing belt, spark plugs, new fuel injectors, and fuel filter if you havent already done so. The first thing that i would do is get a set of camshafts from the 3rd gen TL-S(2004 - 2007). These are interchangeable with ours, and a cold air intake system w/ a bypass valve or short ram system w/ a heat-shield, intake spacer, and a j pipe and you will see a huge difference on the performance. All this plus labor if you don't know how to install it yourself should be running you around 1k or a little bit more.
