Default 93 Honda accord manual transmission problems

Hi all,
Have a 93 honda accord man transmission 5spd, car popped out of 3rd gear yesterday once, then today it wouldnt go into gear while car was running, but did while it wasnt running.
If I let out on clutch while trans is in neutral it stalls like its in 3rd gear.
Please help!

Try one thing carefully...
Put it in neutral with the engine turned off. Clutch engaged (that means pedal UP).
Does the car resist rolling? The same way as if it was in 3rd gear? Try to push the car and that makes the engine spin? (Try this carefully so the car doesn't get rolling downhill without a driver)

What I'm thinking is worn or bent shift forks. The transmission IS STILL IN 3rd GEAR. Only the shift lever has pulled out into neutral. So when you shift into any other gear, you now have 2 different gears engaged at the same time.

Ok, tried that, wont move unless clutch is pushed in.

Either a shift cable or something else has broken....at least that is where I'm at.

Is the car in a flat level place where you can do some of these things?

With the engine turned off, have someone in the car moving the shift lever through the pattern of shifting. You watch under the hood for the shift cables operating the levers on top of the transmission.

With the transmission in neutral, just like in my post #2, rock the car forwards & backwards against the resistance (you said it's locked). As you rock it, does it rock the engine against its mounts (like it would if it were in gear)?
