I have a 1994 5th gen accord with a f22b2 non-vtec engine in it that has over 320k miles on it that I am wanting to swap a f23a1 in its place, since I have a spare f23a1 laying around that needs a headgasket and its really hard to find a f22b2 in good condition now. I know that I need to swap over all of the engine components such as the egr and distributor. But my question is I need the ecu and harness off a OBD1 vtec accord such as a 94 - 95 honda accord lx or ex with f22a1 engine or do I just need the ecu? I also know that keeping the f23 intake is much more superior in design and flow so I am going to keep that for sure. Any help with anything would be much appreciated, once i get enough information I will document the whole process on here for future help of others. Also does the vtec computer have an immobilizer? I am planning on getting everything from the junkyard and need to know if i need the key and ignition switch with my ECU.
