94' Accord Swap Questions...
Alrighty guys... afar from my hydrolock scare, the engine is flushed and doing ok. But I have had knocking issues (probably rod bearings) and have been losing gas mileage steadily over the years (possible rings are worn enough to lower compression a fair amount). So here is the a few questions i have been playing through. Also input from others. Should I just rebuilt the engine i have now, order another F22B1 engine, or swap? I have been moreso leaning towards the order one, build it, and put it in or swap. And IF I to go the swap route, what are my options?? What engine from the Honda/Acura selections do I have that are FAIRLY easy to swap?

RE: 94' Accord Swap Questions...
I know the H22 would be the easiest swap aside from the F22A1/2, but someone brought up an idea about throwing an RSX motor in there (2.0?) for grins giggles and boost? Easy/Hard? What do you guys think? I have an open mind.

RSX motors, the one I associate RSX with is the k20a (jdm).that engine alone runs you 6k.hunt for a k20a2 in the junkyard for cheap. new motor mounts are a necessity if you convert to k block.

Well as far as the K block goes. I would have to change over to an OBD2 system. So Would it be a troublesome process to mess around with the Wiring harness? Well if I keep the same block or swap out for another F22 motor, should I get the Non-Vtec and frankenstein it or throw a Turbo on it?? From what I hear people are still getting 30 MPG in boosted engines. I would only go for 7-10 pounds so how much modification should I go in an engine to prep it so I'm now blowing head gaskets and throwing rods and such? I know I'll have to reduce the "natural" compression to compensate for the turbo's boost in compression. Also, If I go turbo at all, What type of mads will I need to do to the Transmission to hold up the HP?

Now I've seen conversion mount kits for "K-blocks" for 94-97 Accords. So will this fit both the K20 and K24?? It also says fits the transmission from the TSX and Accords. Would that be the same transmission mounting patterns as the RSX's??

RE: 94' Accord Swap Questions...
Well, Since I found a FULL swap for pretty cheap I guess I'll be goin with an H22. They guy has the motor, tranny, axles, wiring, and ECU for a full swap for $1000. The engine more than likely has over 100k on it, but the guys that hang out with the seller every now and again were talkin to me were saying that it ran well.
