Hey new here looking for some quick answers on whether 1. This a good swap to do, and 2. Will it even work. The current engine on the 99 has 308k on it my girl and i found a f20b engine with 120 to throw in it. Will it work? We plan to swap the transmission as well.

 

For enough money pretty much anything is possible, but what you are proposing is not reasonable. By far your better bet is to find a J30A1 from another Accord and drop it in. Why? Just for starters, the F20B I4 engine from the 97 Accord rotates in the opposite direction compared to the J30A1 V6, and the engine and transmissions are located on opposite sides of the engine bay. The list of things you'd need to do is extremely long, and very costly; honestly, it would be cheaper to junk your car and buy something else, but like I said, your best option is to drop in a used J30A1, they are cheap and plentiful, and call it a day.
