hey all, yesterday i encountered a weird scenario. I was driving then all of a sudden my radio shut off, ABS light came on, and i started hearing a clicking noise coming from the passenger side near the door. The symptoms come and go and I can't reproduce them willingly. Anyone else have this problem?

 

See if you can reproduce it by wiggling the key. If so, check for a flaky ignition switch (the electrical part behind the key cylinder).

 

I found it happens when i unload the engine. Like i can be cruisin at 45 then stop, and it happens. Also, my speedo goes a little weird when it happens too. it would go from 1000 rpm to 3 then back to normal. the car would be at 1000 rpm the whole time though. could my alternator be going?

 

NVM, I think i solved the problem. My alternator is puttin out 30AMPS under load. New one on order. But for future reference, if anyone expierences the ABS/Radio, accessory failure, check the alternator first. I forgot advance auto does that for free : . I think the ABS system senses a lower voltage and shorts itself out. strange thing is battery light didn't come on
