96 accord not goin pas 20 mph

i have a 96 accod lx automatic , sometimes when iam driving it wont go past 20 mph .
i push the throttle but it wont respond.
any suggestiopns to my problem let me know thanx.

Check for error codes stored on the ECU. Follow the instructions on this link and post the error codes on here.

does it accell ok at idle ?? in park ??
what happens when you accell .. bogs down ? gear slip ? is this in D4 ? have you tried manually downshifting to d3-d2??
