Accord jerks while driving
I have 1997 acord EX V6 . Recently my car started to givejerks (as if it is accelerated) frequentlyand the RPM needle fluctates. When this happens car surges forward and then feels like almost stalling, but becomes normal and runs fine until it happens again. This happens like almost 5-6 times per mile. Please can anybody share thier knowledge and experiance on this issue.

RE: Accord jerks while driving
It's the ignition coil.I had the same problem about a year ago. here's my thread where I was able to figure it out with the help of the awesome techs on this site: https://www.hondaaccordforum.com/m_5..._1/key_/tm.htm
Also, if you have under 150k on the odometer, it is covered under the extended emissions warranty (Honda Service Bulletin 98-081 - google it and print it out). take it to a dealer and they will fix it for free.
Trust me. I was wasted for hours and hours (thinking it could not be the ignition coil). It is. Don't waste your time looking anywhere else.

surging while driving...
My 98 v6 auto is surging. After driving like 25-30 miles on the interstate, & getting off it will do it in "city" traffic. Almost dying out when trying to accelerate. Once it gets over 2000 rpms it usually stops.
I'm hoping the ignition coil is the problem as 00AccordLX5spd said.
