autos can shift faster than any human that's why NHRA Dragsters run autos But if you where to look into the design of their autos is a TOTALY different than a normal auto trans. 110% completely different....


That’s why most drag teams develop their own type of trans. It’s all kept to secrecy when it comes to drag trans. Every team tweaks it their own way to be suitable for their driver and for the fastest shift time

Most guys run them in the Sportsman class as well as they are much more consistent.

I was really just rebuking that an "auto" car should not be built for performance unless it has a "tiptonic" shifter.

@Crispin that's not at all what I was saying.. Hey if this guy really wants to make his engine fast by all means go for it... I was just saying personally I wouldn't because it's an AT. And neither was I implying that the only reason why anyone should ever put performance parts on an engine with an AT is if it has a tiptonic option
