Default Car jerks hard when accelerating

I have an 2000 Honda Accord Lx 4-cylinder. The CEL would come and go and when It was on, my car would jerk when it would change gears if I accelerated a little too hard. I got the CEL checked and it said something about the VTEC solenoid and a torque converter. I looked up the codes for the torque converter and I found it was the solenoid. I changed it and at first it didn’t jerk at all but the CEL was still on. The following day it jerked again. But not as hard as it usually did. I haven’t done anything about the VTEC solenoid just yet. But I can’t find anything about that causing a car to jerk. I was told I should probably clean the filter or something. Can someone back this or tell me anything?

it would help to have the actual error-code number, something like P1234.
