Default Cold air Intake, Long or short?

I just recently purchased a cold air intake for my 04 accord EX V6 Sedan.
the model # for the intake is AEM-21-510C. It's not a short ram intake. but im hearing mixed responses about if a short ram will offer more sound but a long one will have more power? "vise versa". Im just wondering if I should return it or not. Maybe there is a certain make & model of intake i should get. Anyway, thanks for all your help in advance!

cold air gives you what it says, cold air, wich will give you a bit more horse power, but also you can get water and rocks and what not in the intake tube because it sits low to the ground. the short ram will give a meaner sound because air rushes to the engine faster.

Great, thanks for clearing that up. looks like I'll be returning that part for the short intake!

Very helpful thanks so much!
