Exclamation Does an F20B DOHC VTEC engine fit in a 94 accord lx???

I am thinkin of changes the stock motor my 94 accord has to a dohc Vtec F20b but when I go looking for a dohc Vtec engine for my car it shows me engines for 97-01 and it looks like the same setup and everything so I'm wondering if I could put the F20B in my accord...any suggestions???

Yes with some slight modification it will. You will have to modify the exhaust to line up and modify the wiring harness. As well as getting an ECU that will run a f20b.

I had a f20b in my 97 Accord. Just keep in mind that since this engine was never available in the United States having a mechanic work on it or getting some parts for it can be difficult.

Easiest way is to just bring it to an exhaust shop. They should be able to make a custom piece of pipe for around $100. Just because the F20b header does not line up with the Accord exhaust.

If you don't have VTEC you will have to wire it in. Also some sensors are in different places so some wires need to be extended and things like that. Also you will have to rewire your harness to work with the f20b distributor.

Ok....can't I just buy a Vtec wiring harness instead of rewiring the whole thing???

Well as far as adding vtec it is only 1 wire. But as far as using the F20b wiring harness that will be far more of a pain.

The connectors to hook into the car are different, so you would have to get a pin out for the accord sub harness and the f20b engine harness(good luck finding a wiring diagram for it) and cut and solder every single wire.
