Default engine help

I have a 94 accord ex with the vtec engine but it's blown, so my question is will the ecu run a non vtec motor from a 93 if I use the vtec intake or will i have to use the intake from the 93 and get a new ecu

I very highly doubt an ECU from a 5th gen will run a 4th gen engine. Go buy yourself the correct ECu for the engine at a junkyard, expect to lay down $100.

I highly doubt it as well. Why not buy another 2.2 VTEC? You should be able to find a fairly low mileage one for dirt cheap from a salvage yard

I agree w/ finch and Jon, it won't work, and it would be better to either get an ECU at a local junkyard or a new engine... depends on your budget i guess... If you decide to get the engine, why not upgrade it while it's out? many of us who have taken out our engines for some reason and haven't touched them internally regret it... (im one[&o])
