Default f23 boost internals question?

99 accord ex 5spd. 2.3 vtech 200k on it. im boosting it soon and using a p28 ecu with a good tune map and plan on starting out with 8lbs of boost, my question is for the internals, anyone have experience of rods bending or bad piston slap ect. the motor has high miles but has been well mantained and no need to speak on how die hard they are, none the less adding more power to worn parts posses this question. and i have heard of the syncro not keeping up when the 23's are boosted?

I'd give it a compression test and see what you have.

If you are keeping it at 8 psi or less you should be fine.

Check the local/state testing laws - some states make doing this very hard
