G-Force Performance Chip location question
So a couple weeks ago my dad and I bought a 92 Prelude for $400 as a rollover car. I finally had a chance to look under the hood today and I found one of those G-Force Performance Chip thingies zipstripped (LOL) in. I've heard they're a scam and can even possibly grill your ECM so I plucked it out. The guy apparently (very poorly) tried to splice it into the wires for a sensor I have yet to identify. The engine doesn't run any different than it did, so I really don't think it was doing anything, probably especially due to the fact it was barely even in place.
I have no plans of putting it back in, but does anyone know where these things are SUPPOSED to wire in to?

Describe the "sensor" that it was wired into? Where's that located?
Maybe it's supposed to be wired into the circuit for engine-coolant-temperature sensor to make it read cooler. That's supposed to make the engine run richer.
