H22A question
Yeah I m planning on doing an H22 swap into my 94 Accord EX, I was wondering if it was a very difficult swap, and if this is a good deal, I found one out of a 93 prelude, 75,000 with hi performance transmisson, for $1000, includes everything ecu, axles, ect....

RE: H22A question
hey thats a great deal you should do it. 90-97 used the same mounting pattern and the motor should bolt right it. dont put the engine and tranny in together though or you will have some extra bruised knuckles. its never a bad idea to contact hasport though for some polyeurothane bushings because the ones you have might be going out.....and the smaller flex of a good bushing will help you put that new found horsepower to the ground. as for it being a hard swap, that just depends on how good of a mechanic you are. it can range from impossible to relatively easy. the biggest issue is that you have to hook everything up, or its not going to run right if you are throwing codes. the motor being an obd1 is great and that will simplify things somewhat. you should change out the timing belt and WATER PUMP in the motor BEFORE you put it in. I think someone else on this board learned this the hard way. good luck

RE: H22A question
Hey thanks for the help. I just have a few questions, do I need to order the urethane engine bushings for an accord or a prelude and do you guys think it would be a good idea to buy a harness adapter for the H22A ecu for $300 or soder the wires together?
