You can go the H22 head swap, You would need to fill two drain holes in the head, and need a F23 head gasket, also you need the H22 water pump just the gear and guts and put them in the F22 water pump housing and ECU and wiring harness put it all together and BAMMM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! a terror is born. you now look for sweet cams, and cam gears, also valve train. Just have to make sure you tune it and you are GOLDEN. our blocks already have iron sleeves, if you add forged pistons and rods, Re-Hone the cyclinder walls you have the making for one solid beast. Im just not sure what the compression or timing tables look like but from what i got its sick strong motor and pulls hard.

i think there was an article in Import Tuner or one of those magazines that done a head swap like that. I'd like to try that myself. He got quite a bit of power of it. It had a full write up step by step instructions. See if you can find one

Yep, Import Tuner just had in article in the January(?) copy with an G22/23 build. It's not cheap by any means though, but still cheap compared to other swaps.

I personally bore out the cylinders to 86mm and run k20 pistons to raise the compression and take advantage of the h22 head. Cam it and throw itbs and a good tune and you will have a BEAST!
