Help with faster ride

Default Help with faster ride

My friend just bought a brand new 2011 Kia Optima. We are pretty evened out in horse power and tourque. Are there any upgrades like a turbo, or supercharger, air intake? ANYTHING that will make me definately faster than him. can anyone help me. I drive a 1999 Honda Accord 3.0L V6. 4Dr Sedan. please help.

There are intake and exhaust that you can get for your car, Since you have an automatic for transmission so it can't handle the boost, especially 98-02 does have many issues with auto trans even with just bone stock motor.

Intake and exhaust will only gain you MABYE 5hp untuned. If you weren’t a auto trans I would say just slap a 100shot and call it a day.

Go Gators. haha Yeah i wish i didnt have an auto trans. It limit what i can do with it. is it useless to put a turbo on an auto?

yes turbo will KILL your trans. QUICK. My boy boosted his f22a with his auto trans(low miles close to 50k on trans) it saw 4 hrs at the track and the trans was fully blown out. He was only putting 280hp. But we did it all for fun we were wanting to blow up the auto trans so we had a excuse to swap it for 5speed....ohh yeah GO GATORS!!
