I need advice...
I'm not a car-savvy person, but I love my Honda, and I've been told I have to junk it even though my engine is fantastic. The car could run another 5 years easy...but I wanted to see if the engine has any value. It's a rebuilt engine in a 91 Honda Accord EX 5 speed. The engine itself has about 90k miles on it, but the boy has 225k on it... the gas line is leaking and they told me I'd have to replace the tank and line for $600, and I just put berrings in for $600, so now I have to draw the line. Should I just sell it to the junk yard for $50 or might the engine, which has never had a glitch, be sold somewhere?

I wouldn't junk it over a fuel tank/fuel line.... I'm curious about why the said the tank needs replaced, is it really rusty? If you don't want to do the work or have the work done then I'd sell it long before I'd scrap it. Where is the car at?

Don't scrap it for $50 or towing-look for a local car club that might have buyers or try to sell it with an autotrader ad. If you can afford a newer car, look for a push-pull-tow trade in deal, you might get back your 600 dollar bearing expense.
Some community colleges have auto shop school and they sometimes make a purchase of abroken vehicle for a class project. Just an idea.
Good luck!
