Default I need help swapping F23A1 into 94 accord ex

Hello all,

I have a 1994 Honda Accord EX sedan with a F22B1 vtec 5-speed with 123k. The current engine is burning alot of oil and has killed my gas mileage. I have located a 2.3L F23A1 vtec from a 1998 Accord LX with 78k on it at a local junkyard for 300$. I would like to do the swap but am unsure about any problems/complications. Is this a bolt on swap?? or is there any modification needed?? I searched the forum but couldn't find any past talk of this particular application. I really don't have any idea about the compatability of this swap, so any input/experienc/advice is greatly appreciated. Thank You!!

Is it worth all the money and time?

I'd just fix up the engine you have. Put in new seals, clean it out, replace what's necessary.

I can't be 100% honest, but if the bellhousing matches up to the transmission you should be fine. Just make sure it uses the same motor mounts too.

The biggest problem will be the wiring.

Hey, thanks for the input.I have since scrapped the swap idea, and decided to pull the head and replace valve guide seals and all other seals/gaskets that come in a head gasket set. My engine has perfect/even compression across all 4 cylinders. So i think the problem is in the top end...
