Default Inexpensive upgrades to start with

Hello all,
I have decided to keep my 99 accord as opposed to financing a newer car. I want to go back to school and do not need 2 car payments (wife's car and my car) and 2 high insurance payments. I plan on getting a 30k service soon, so far quoted at 425 and am currently having engine/tune work done.

But as far as upgrades, what are my options? i am not a tuner head (no offense) but would like my car to be quicker. I was thinking exhaust for small hp gains, but what else is available? after my 30k service i want to sink about 300-400 more into the car.

is a new/lowered suspension out of the question for that price range?

ahhh another mass driver! depends what brand you go with..if you get a cheaper brand probably be a few hundred at least.

what engine do you got in there? j30 or the f22? but what i would personally do is intake, pulleys, exhuast...or intake and lower suspension.

lol whatever your into

lowering is gonna be 600+
pulleys no....don't bother with them. Not much of a gain for the headache. Pulleys like to eat main bearings. Read the sticky I posted when you open the Engine & Internal area of the forum.
With a 99 you should have a f23 engine. Exhaust and intake will be SMALL gains. But a Ok start. That will eat up your budget you have to work with. But will only GAIN you 4 maybe 5hp at most.

Thanks for the info. I think I will go the suspension right. I know it has to be changed out soon. New brakes would be good too, I will have to worry about mods later
