Default loud noise

i have a 94 honda accord ex and it was leaking oil from the oil pan gasket so i went and got a new one well last night i tackled the job of putting it on it sucked and took a long time but when i was done i started up the motor and there was a really loud noise coming from the motor sort of like a knocking, i thought i blew the motor somehow but after thinking about it i was wondering a putting the oil pan back up in the car would it be possible i put a dent in the oil and and the crank could be hitting the bottom of the oil pan

I hope you don't take this as in insult but did you re-fill the oil after the gasket job? Also, if you put a dent in the oil pan you should be able to see it and once the crank hit it it would bend back out so the noise should go away... do you recall if you ben any oil pickup lines or anything?

How much oil did you put in after the change?

yea i rememberd to put oil in it and i didnt hit any lines it was a fairly easy change thats why i'm confused on what it could be and if the pan is dented it wouldn't be by much just enough for it to rub cause i dont remember doing anything to dent it real bad i really dont want to take the pan of again its a long process but if its hitting i need to do it soon cause im not starting it back up
