Default Malfuction Indicator Lamp & Fuel Relay

Hello,

two days ago my wife and I went out to our car to goto work, (we have 98 honda accord), and it wouldnt start. We missed work that day and had it repaired. They said it was the Fuel Relay, and they fixed it.

This morning we started up the car and the malfuction indicator lamp light stayed on. We checked the gas cap, but that was fine, but we are wondering if it could have been caused by the mechanic? Can it have anything to do with the relay? The engine sounds like it sputters a little bit, but not much now. Before it was completly smooth.
