Max natural hp 98-2002?

I would like to buy a accord coupe of this year and I am just wondering if I could get the engine to 300hp without a blower or turbo. I plan on putting one of the two on but I want to know what the engine can do naturally. Thanks to all who answer.

unfortunately the exhaust collectors are cast into the cylander heads so that really limits your options.............
thankfully I have the older 3.2L and headers are good for 32hp alone lol [:P]

the best you can do on bolt-ons is about 35-40 HP.........one of the MAJOR limiting factors is the small valve size of the J30a
headers and axle back = 25 hp
intake about 10 hp
CL type S cams about 5 hp

K series ftw. I think some dude on k20a added two modifcations to the block (type s IM and exhaust), kpro and that led to something around 250whp. just rebuilding the engine w/ stronger internals, etc. could possibly land you in the ~270 whp range.
k swap ranged from 800 (k24a4) to 1000 (k24a2) to 1200 (k20a2)
EDIT- but i disgress.....w/ your 2002 accord making 300.....i say go FI or Nitrous.

The J30A1 could do 300HP NA, but as mentioned, it would take a lot of money ..... and it wouldn't really be a J30A1 anymore after you swap to a J32A2 head, High Comp pistons notched for the larger valves, PNP + 3 angle valve job with double springs and titanium retainers ..... not to mention all bolt-ons, fuel upgrades and tuning.
