dealers use whatever they want for bulk oil changes but they are required to sell Honda Products over the counter.

As long as the oil meets the standards in your manual, it will be fine. I concur with the others, do it yourself!

the crushed washer and the filter are the hardest part to get to, or else i definitely would do it myself. got service done with the bg moa last thursday. i drove over 500 miles in one day the other day as well! this car's awesome! (99 accord ex) don't know how to add that in my signature, any suggestions on how to add that? just hearing a little humming sound, and that's these tires i got. even though they are bf goodrich traction ta's with a ton of tread left, they are noisy (sidewall is really noisy from the rear). it also could be the way that these tires rotate, being directional tires. thanks for all the posts! i really appreciate it!

Latest SM or M incorporates SJ plus other additive enhancements.
You may not be able to buy labled just SJ.
Ratings are based on lab tests rather than a rating change each year.
Don't get hung up on brand, like Mobil 1.
It's the API rating that counts - unless you believe in snakeoil.
