Motor swap?
Hey everyone. Im about to start a major overhaul on my 5th gen accord coupe. everything is getting upgraded. Starting with engine ideas. What would be the biggest motor with the most hp and torque that i could stuff into her. If shoe horns need to be used then we'll be using them. I just need some ideas. Want car to be barely street legal

Dragging this up from a coupla weeks ago, but the k24a2 is the one to go for if you're going k swap. Reason being is because its 200hp as opposed to the a4 which is as listed 160ish.
Only difference when doing the swap is you'll have to use the throttle body from the a4 so that the throttle linkage hooks up. I did a rough estimate of this the other day and came up with around $5k too. That's with me doing all of the work, and not changing the clutch.
Exhaust wise, you can go with something custom, or order up the DC header for a kswapped eg. Bolts right up, but you lose your cat.
Mounts are going to run you $600 and an axle is going to run you about $300...(you use the rsx-s halfshaft on the other side)
You'll need a smaller battery as well because you have to move it to the opposite side of the engine bay and it doesn't fit....(or move it to the trunk)
Also, you'll need a civic si radiator unless you want to run more coolant lines.
Gotta do some moving of clutch lines too.
Anyways,
You get the point, its labor intensive, but a good start Honda tuning did it and with just I/H/E they made over 200whp. The kmotors are VERY responsive to bolt on toys
Oh, also, big money adder is the fact that you'll have to run hondata or aem ems....pre loaded with your specs is going to run you $1600ish
All of this compared to the less than 2k price of an H swap...as long as you do the work yourself.
Good day sir.
