The 6A is the ignition ..... the L is an adjustable rpm limit in addition to the 6A functions.

I've seen them burn at the track, in a friend's car and read numerous testamonials of the same. I've also heard about people loving them, but the cons outweigh the pros by far IMO.

[sm=icon_ladiesman.gif]Unless you plan on doing serious mods like turbo, etc..
does this apply to spark plugs as well? And btw the afro smiley is the BEST!

What do you mean? From what I've read, the NGK's are the best, but they have better plugs than the stock ones. I believe that stock is a platinum which is no good for nitrous. Also, with forced induction or nitrous, you need a colder plug. I have Denso's and are happy with them. I'm going to change to a colder NGK pretty soon since I'm nearing 90k and am considering a 75 wet shot. I'll probably go 2 steps colder since that's what I've heard is best for this size shot.

NGK IX Iridium Plugs and wires are okay for nitrous?

Iridium is fine. The nitrous degrades the bond on the platinum, but not iridium. That's what I plan to use as well.

"The MSD Sport Compact Ignition (SCI) is the ultimate ignition for your Accord. At higher rpm, stock ignitions cannot produce full power sparks resulting in a loss of power or even a top end miss. MSD SCI Series Ignitions feature capacitive discharge circuits that are capable of full power sparks at any rpm! Whether you’re idling through traffic or ripping through the gears at 10,000+ rpm, each spark of an SCI Ignition is at full power! High powered sparks mean complete combustion which puts more power to the ground. This box also features a built-in rev-limiter."

at higher RPMs, the stock ignitions cannot produce full power sparks!!!
is that true? lol

yes, but then again, a "full power" spark is not needed to ignite the flame kernel. The charge builds between sparks as a magnetic field in the inductive ignition coil. The spark happens when the field collapses (they kinda cause each other at the instant the rotor makes contact). At high rpms the field doesn't build fully because there is not enough time between discharges. These ignitions are most effective on higher-than-stock reving engines. My engine has 6 small coils (coil-on-plug), so I'm not really worried about too weak a spark, but for a 91 it may be a good upgrade. I'd do a ton of research on it and applications on the same car that you have to see other peoples results. The Blaster coil could never hurt!
