well than maybe i wont even bother with it i was just askin cause someone on here there was a governor at 120 so idk but thanks
Sorry this got off topic bil6ly05, but to answer your question, yes, most honda's have a governor at about 120. If there are some that don't then I've never seen them, I have personally witnessed and reached the governor on a 94 civic and a 97 accord.

hey my 96 civic ex tops of around 125..
rpm is still low..in fourth gear.. and if i keep the gas on... after like 20 seconds or so..
the rpm drops even more.. and stays there..at 125 and low rpm

i have a 91 accord..lx that tops of at around 115..
fourth gear also low rpms..
shoot mythird goes to 100-110..depending on conditions..air. mositure..temp..etc..
ohh and the more i soup my car up..the sooner im shifting gears..and the speed seems to lag or have to catch up.. cuz.. my car tops off..before 115 sometimes..and it seems like my speedeo is off by like 5 to 10mph sometimes.. when im gunning it.. ohh andi have stock rims and tires..

all cars have limiters..

ohh when the 3000 gt was released those had an actual electronic.. limiter that knew whenyo u where out of the city limits and would release the limiter.. in side of the city you can only go so fast i think its like 135and once out side the city limits its released up to or over 165... read about it..and test drove it..

ecu are touchy.. sometimes when chiped the ecu with time will overide it and reset itself to stock..
the best way to go is replace the complete ecu with wiring and sensors.. very expensive..'

or else you will have to be chipping your car like ever month or so..lol...
its best to find piggie backs that you can put on and take off or chips that you can install and remove easliy so not to have it detuned .. and have to buy a new one..lol..

piggy backs are nothing more than resistors (?)

And sir_nasty, how do you remove the governator? I'm just curious.

zex walk away... i have done 140 in my accord and im sure its got more in it... (i was at 5 grand in 5th gear) my freinds RSX hits 155... thats top of 6th gear... i have NEVER seen a honda with a speed limiter... and the computer controls the dash gauges with electro magnets... whatever that guage says... is what the computer thinks...
