Default My engine was over-heating....

So I went home, put in the cooler liquid thing, damn I cant think of the damn name right now, anyways and it still heats up.....was I supposed to follow the instructions on the back of the container? It said I have to drain my radiator or something...or was I supposed to do anything else apart from putting the liquid?

OK,, let me see if i get this right,,,,,,,,,,your engine is overheating and you tried putting some liquid stuff in the readiator to make it stop overheating ??

were you trying to add coolant ?? was the radiator low?? .. IF it was low there could be a leak , you need to diagnose why engine is overheating and fix it properly,,
do the fans work >>"? does T-stat open ?

DO NOT ADD any thing in the radiator except coolant ( anti freeze ) ..

Yeah, I added coolant.

My dad checked it out and everything is fine now, the car is working perfect =)

if you had to add coolant , there is a possible leak in the cooling system,or car was overheating and coming out of the reservoir bottle , you should have the system pressure tested to make sure ..

just out of curiousity did you add straight coolant or was it mixed? 100% coolant (I.E. no water mixed in) isn't a good idea... you're fine since you were just adding some but for future referance you want to maintain the proper mixture of water/coolant for your climate.. for example I run a 50/50 mixture of coolant/water in Montana...
