Codes are 9, 15, 17, 41.

Code 9 is No. 1 Cylinder Position indicator (CYP). This sensor fault will cause misfire. Check resistance of CYP sensor at distributor connector first (orn and wht wires or pins 4-8 of conector).

Code 15 is ignition output signal. This might be a false code. See reset.

Code 17 is Vehicle Speed Sensor (VSS). Usually the VSS is faulty and must be replaced. If cruise control doesn't work, this is likely.

Code 41 is Heated O2 sensor heater fault. This means O2 sensor resistance heater is open/shorted. Check resistance of two same color wire pins at connector (usually black or gray).

W/ this many codes, I would first try resetting ECU (pull BackUp Fuse in underhood fuse box. See what codes return before starting any checks.

A shop manual download is available from Online Manuals post in DIY forum.

good luck

If you just got the car. Pull the fuse to the ecm, under hood fuse box for about two minutes. Reinstall fuse. Start the car, drive it a bit and see if the cel comes back on. If so, check the codes again.

I read 9, 15, 17 and 41.....currently stored.

Welcome to HAF

EDIT: And TX posted as I was typing.....hey at least we read them the same
