Hi Guys,
I got a 2006 accord coupe V6, sweet ride, but little problem
when i rev from 2k-3k rpm, there's a little noise (squailing/rattle) come out from the engine. 50% of the driving time it does that. I took it to the dealer for service and the guy there told me it's the ABS self test and within specs. Should it be the ABS system error making that noise? Is there any input? the noise irritated the hell out of me.

abs self test does NOT do that. The self test occurs as soon as you hit 7-10 mph I beleive. It is usually a clicking noise. I cannot hear it above the radio (I listen to the talk station here in town). the Buzz you hear may be the pump pressurizing the system but that usually occurs right after engine start.

 

IT's the VSA kick in I believe from 7-10mph. This noise occur above that speed. i could hear it even traveling speed is 65-80mph, as long as the rpm is between 2k-3k rpm. i turned the music down

 

have your dealer check your exhaust shields and cat heat shields.

 

Sure i'll take that to the dealer again, hopefully that is the problem cuz it would be easy to fix. The last dealer i brought to saying it the ABS self test (within spec). which is bogus. Thanks YEUEMMAIMAI. hey you viet....eh, from where anyway?
