i just got a flashing maitance required on my car a few days ago.. i flashes ones ( i herd it flashes different times for different reasons). I was just wondering if anyone knew what that ment!

 

What is this on? 72 Pinto? Honda lawnmower?

If it's 1998-2005 Accord, that's just a mileage reminder for oil changes. It goes off 7500 miles since it was last reset, for no reason other than miles driven.

2006+ Accord it gets a little more complicated, with the oil-life monitor. Still, it's just a reminder and doesn't mean anything's broken.

 

Wait till is stays on for good then reset it: With the car off, hold down the trip reset button, turn the key on, but do not crank the car. The light should stay on for a minute. Keep holding the button down till the light goes off then crank the car. It will come on again in 7500 miles.
