Default Price on timing belt change

It's time for me to get a new timing belt put in. I've got a '98 EX. Any ideas on what to expect price wise?

Hi,,Welcome to the forums..

If you have a mechanic friend he will more than likely charge you about $ 50.00 plus the timeing belt , another $18.00 to $25.00.

If the dealer gets to you, you can expect about $200. or more for the same thing..

Got it done for $125 by a local, independent ASE certified mechanic. Not bad.
