Default THIS IS PROBABLY IN THE WRONG SPOT...

HI EVERYBODY. I HAVE A FRIEND THAT HAS A 1993 CIVIC SDN WITH A 96 VTEC SOHC ENGINE. RECENTLY, I TOOK MY BABY OUT TO RACE(IM STOCK OF COURSE!) AND KICK HIS *** UP AND DOWN I-78! NOW HE'S ABOUT TO PUT IN AN LS SWAP. I WANTED TO KNOW IF I HAVE A CHANCE? SORRY IF IT'S IN THE WRONG SECTION I DIDN'T KNOW WHERE TO PUT IT.

yeah, it doesnt take much to beat a low end stock civic, but it depends on the specifics and what car you have

By his name, it appears to be an f22 1990 accord.

Okay so start the assumptions here... Now assuming he is putting in the 1.6L 125HP 106 ftlbs torque into a 4 door sedan civic at 2213 lbs (curb weight) and you have a 1990 accord with the large 2.2L at 140hp 142 ftlbs torque with curb weight of 2738 he has 17.7lbs per HP and you have 19.5 lbs per HP... if all of my many assumptions are true and you assume that you and he are equal drivers then we fail to take into account gear ratios and if you're doing a 1/4 mile or something else.... In theory based on weight to HP he should win unless he hits that one lone piece of gravel that adds another 400 dimensions to my assumptions....

Long and short of it: it'll be close but he should be able to beat you....

...... thats the way to define overkill on a simple answer..... mr nasty...... drugs..... are.... bad......

but yeah, dont look forward to winning because he has one thing on you that you will never be able to change, and you both can constantly add power to your cars, but he will always be lighter, he should put an f23 in there, not an ls engine ^_-
