This is probly a dumb question, but does an intake make noise, like would it make my car sound better.

My new muffler isnt really as loud as i wanted it to be, but that might be cause i have an automatic. Is there any other way to get a deeper tone/louder?

hondas are known for a intake roar, as for getting a deeper sound out of the exaust thats depended on the resonator and the style of muffler, and for what i know and have heard you wont ever get that out of the mufflers that have a 4 inch outlet and look like a canister

oh, and the sound will change based on the temperature ^_-

My car whistled when I had the AEM v2 on there. It wasn't a bad sound either. It sounded like I had more done to it (kind of like the way a supercharger sounds at idle, just a whine). The way marbro described it is perfect. My car roared at WOT. That was the first mod i did to my car and even with stock exhaust I could mash the pedal and get this awesome sound out of the engine. With my exhaust system, it just sounded great. So to answer your question, intakes do effect the sound a lot, but they won't exactly make it deeper.
