Default smoke from tail pipe at high rpm

Well my 98 ex v6 coupe has 143k on it and while being followed home the other day by my cousin he noticed when i really get on it that it blows white smoke out of the tail pipe. It doesn't do it under normal driving or any other time just at high rpm when i really get on it. I was thinking about putting some engine restore in the next time i do an oil change. Any other suggestions???

hmm..

i'm still figuring things out, but i think i read once that white smoke is usually steam... if you are steaming that means like water or antifreeze is entering your cylinders. easy validation is checking your levels.

i'm not sure, but that might be a head gasket? or at least a "port gasket" (for lack of a better term).

anyway, hopefully someone more enlightened will chime in.

Hmm, editing is throwing an error...

so i found this page: http://www.trustmymechanic.com/troubleshoot_smoke.htm

white smoke sounds kinda like what i had said earlier; apparently just a drop could produce *some* smoke. whatever exactly that means?

it could be oil as well.... just to make sure I would open the head and check the gasket. It could be broken so coolant could be leaking.

[edit] check spark plugs for oil.

Coolant level is totally full so im pretty sure its oil blowing by the rings. Im hoping an expert will jump in and throw some useful tips in here. I put a can of engine restore in it and topped of the oil with some Valvoline MAx life 5w-30....
