Default Sudden oil leak (massive)

Have been given a 1998 Honda accord with almost 300,000 miles. Took it for a drive one day and it developed a severe oil leak all at once, never used to leave puddles of oil, now it does. Not sure what to make of it although the timing belt cover shows oil maybe coming from that area.
Any possible ideas would be appreciated.

Did you recently change the oil?

It's pretty easy to remove the upper timing cover to have a good look.

Ok my bad, forgot to delete this but wanted to say that my massive oil leak was in fact (someone actually asked) was shall I say caused by the person who added oil however got very little in engine. The rest was rust prevention.
thank you all for your help I tend to go extreme 1st.
Thanks again
