Default Timing belt

when do you really need to change the timing belt?

Per you're Owner's Manual, the Timing Belt service is due every 105,000 miles. Honda used to recommend every 105,000 mile or 7-years, whichever came first, but the time requirement has since been dropped. That said, lots of folks still adhere to the 7-year rule for piece of mind. When performing the service I recommend doing the water pump, the tensioner, and the cam seals as well.

You are so right. Many people change just the belt and then have to do the additional work later. If you are the type of person that fixes things only when the break- just replace the belt. The rest of us do it all at once. Great advice "shipo"
