Hello, i have a 97 accord lx automatic. I was wondering if i could change the transmission to manual. Is it possible? Roughly how much it would cost? Can i do it myself?

I just did this with my car. It is easy the most difficult thing was getting the new clutch pedal in place. The only reason for that is the location of where has it has to be mounted. You find the pedals at you local junk yard or on ebay. You may spend at the most 400 for the whole swap. All the bolt holes for all the mounting is already on your chassis.

 

Ok good, what tools did you use? And where can I find the manual transmission?

 

It is an assortment of tools. I used a 40 piece socket set to do my whole engine swap. You can transmissions on ebay or if you know of a good salvage yard. Check out this ebayer he is local for me I bought my swap from him. His store name is import mechanic. Try Craigslist also.
