Texas,

Haven't gotten the car back yet, guy who has it says the wires under the dash are all screwed up. Can't even read the diagnostic codes off it.

Anyways I have a quickie question. Do both the VTEC and non VTEC 2.2's have the same IACV? Or do they differ?

Thanks Texas!

I suspect both are identical. You can go to Majestic Honda, Bill Kay Honda, or other online OEM parts supplier and check both vehicles for IACV to confirm.

I cleaned my 94EX IACV and throttle plate to see if I could get it to idle w/ IACV disconnected. Cleaning allowed a stable idle which I attempted to adjust to 750 rpm. I could not get more than about 500-600 rpm w/ generous opening of bypass screw. I reconnected IACV and idle returned to about 750 rpm, so I left it at that.

good luck
