Default What to do? Sell? Rebuild f23? H22 swap?

I'm ashamed to say it, but the other day I missed 4th and accidently threw it in 2nd around 70mph, revved up to 7k... OUCH in an F23A1... BUT the car is fine, still runs like a champ but I'm fearing a rod knock situation. There is a knock but I would not classify it as like those vids on youtube... it goes away when warm...

SO i have a few options I'm thinking about...

1. H22 swap with stock F23 trans?... or
2. Sell it ASAP? (And get an Mk3 Supra that I've wanted for a while) or
3. Stick with it for a while and save up for a rebuild?

I considered maybe rebuild + turbo, but hell, if I want a turbo I'll just find a Supra :/

Another thing... I know, I know... the H22 in accords is popular but I have found them in genreations BEFORE mine, the 99. Heard it is a direct bolt up besides one or 2 motor mounts and timing belt thing... I already searched but does anyone have input on any of this? Anything works. Thanks guys!

Chris

haha hey turbos arent for everyone kevin

F23chris: are you sure its a rod knock? if it goes away after warming up then it very well could be just something in the head like a valve or lifter. rod knocks dont go away lol. 7000 isnt a terrible over revv of your motor. i mean it breaches redline but im not convinced it destroyed the engine. its your head and cam that can restrict some higher rpm. id say confirm the knock either way and if its just a valve or something get it adjusted.

i know i know... i just felt that he doesn't quite knows what the f23 can hold and what mods you can do to it in order for it to withstand a turbo.
