Hey guys, i wish to swap myAT tranny for a MT, but want to see if i can get an Acura tranny and how hard is the install...

I am sure it is pretty hard. But I recall you DIY'd your turbo so you may be up for it.
I don't really know much abut the acura tranny's but I imagine any of the 6 spds wouldn't fit since they match up to the V6 or the RSX type S.
So you may be stuck with a 5spd. Then you gotta chose one from an Fseries engine or an Hseries engine. Remember the hseries gears are shorter, giving you faster acceleration. But your gas mileage will suffer since you will probably be doing 3k rpm at 60 mph (that figure was provided by live2rice after he swapped an h series manual trans.)

 

I wouldn't be surprised if the CL-S tranny fit form the J32 engine.

H series or F series trannies, except the S2000 are your only choices. No K, no J, no C...just F and H.

sooo....00AccordLX5spd, i should go for the H22 swap, since the shifts are shorter and gives me better acceleration, right? is the swap bolt on? u guys think i would be able to do it by myself? im really not afraid of trying, as long as there's at least aslight chanceof accomplishing the swap, i'll take a swing at it...
