I recently bought a K & N air filter for my 99 Accord EX. I would say go with that, you don't have to ever replace those. Every 50,000 miles you will just have to clean the K & N air filter.

ditto here. k&n will set you back ~$35, but you'll recoup that after 2 filter changes. i "recharge" my k&n every year or two just to be cautious. if you plan on keeping the car a while, i'drun the k&n.
