00' Accord 2.3 Sedan dr EX AT
I'm having problems with the tranny in some sort of way. every gear ats like its red lining at 4k RPM at the exact same spot. i thought for a while that it was slipping but for EVERY gear to slip in the SAME RPM? kinda a stretch. now im feeling it a sensor or something wrong with the brain. Input?

Any Check Engine Light?
You might want to get the car read for any trouble codes at a local auto parts store. Most do free trouble code scan/reads. Even if there is no Check Engine Light on, there may be trouble codes or pending trouble codes stored in the ECM/PCM.

do you have a check engine light? Your car is in a limp mode.
"Limp mode is a safety feature that is built into your ecu that detects some freakish behavior and to protect the car, it goes into "SAFE MODE" sort of like your computer at home."
You need to make sure that your check engine light is working. (when you turn your key to the on position and the light check happens is the CEL coming on?) either way go to autozone and ask them to see if there is a hidden code.
After that you can reset your ecu by disconnecting the ground on the battery for 30 seconds. Beaware though, you will need to enter the code on your radio once you power the car back up. If you need the code you can get it from honda, however they will charge you to take the radio out to scan the bar-code on the back. If you do this and just take the unit into them you will save the min. labor cost (like 50-60 bucks)

To reset the ECM/PCM, you can also just pull the No. 13 clock back-up fuse (7.5A) in the passenger side fuse box.
Some dealers will put a sticker with the radio serial number somewhere in the glove box. Even though it is not recommended, sometimes they will even put the radio security code there too.
