Over in the Acura world the hot set up for late 2G TLs (sibling of the Gen 6 Accord) and early 3G TLs (sibling of the Gen 7 Accord) is to buy a 2006-2007 Accord V6 5-Speed automatic transmission (dubbed the AV6 tranny) and put it in the TL. This makes me wonder what would be involved in retrofitting a Gen 6 V6 Accord with the 4-Speed automatic to the aforementioned AV6 5-Speed. Probably more trouble that it's worth.

 

Update: replaced all the shift solenoid one by one. After finally replacing the last one the car now shifts smooth as silk. Hopefully it continues to.
