'03-'07 Accord V6 Recall
Honda expands Acura TL fire recall to add 573K Accords
I have an '07 Accord V6... haven't received anything (still early I guess) should I call my local Honda dealer and ask about this or wait for something to come in the mail?
3:07PM EST October 1. 2012 - Honda is expanding an earlier recall of more than 56,000 older model-year Acura TL sedans and adding more that 573,000 Accord V-6 sedans for possible loss of steering and a fire danger.
The recall now covers 2007-08 Acura TLs and 2003-07 Honda Accords with a V-6, according to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
In the affected vehicles, a faulty power-steering hose may deteriorate over time and leak fluid. This could lead to a loss of steering control, and if power-steering fluid leaks onto the catalytic converter, it also could start a fire.
Owners affected by the first recall were notified in June; Honda will notify owners of the expanded recall starting on Oct. 26. Dealers will replace the suspect parts free of charge, but NHTSA is reporting that sufficient parts are not yet available and won't be until early next year.
Owners can call Honda at 800-999-1009 or NHTSA's vehicle safety hotline at 888-327-4236 for more information.

Yea, I heard it maybe the first part of next year before they have enough of the hoses. For now they are holding the supply for only those that are leaking now. If yours starts to leak between now and when you are scheduled, then call the dealer and explain the situation.
For those members that have already had theirs replaced, not sure if there is anything they are going to do but worth a phone call IMO....might get some of the money back if you have proof of the repair.

Well that is going to depend on when it was last changed. New fluid is a clearish.
The "leak", I think, would be on the backside of the engine - between the engine and firewall. If it is leaking you would see smoke coming from the backside of the engine - PS Fluid onto manifold or exhaust pipe......
Do get worried/panic over this.

I changed the hose a couple years ago. It was leaking just above the edge of the rear bank, between the pump and that bracket holding the hose near the firewall, at the metal splice. It would have to be spraying out of the hose to get on the exhaust, but that's definitely possible. I will be looking for a refund, for the $90 hose. It's not an easy job, wish they would pay me for the labor too. If your hose is leaking, I would definitely take it in now, or at least call the nearest dealership and ask about it.
