03 accord ac stopped working
I'm going to be digging into old posts to ac troubleshoot this weekend. so far the fan only kicks on when I jump the terminal at the condenser but it doesn't appear the compressor kicks on and there's no pressure on the low side . I'm using my 94 isuzu pickup with 225,000 miles as a reference . it is r 134 and I've never had to so much as charge it . then I'll be transporting my family in my 23 year old 300,000 mile toyota 4 runner with an r 12 system that still works . you've got to love late model hondas !

Low pressure and high pressure side are connected, so no pressure on low side means system is empty of refrigerant. Leak must be located and repaired. Compressor is protected from running by a low pressure cut-out switch which opens when pressure is very low.
Common places for leaks are hose end connections, compressor shaft seal, and condensor (rock impact). Oil leaks out w/ the refrigerant and may have green dye. Dirt will also stick to oil to help indentify leak site. A dirty, oily ring around compressor rotation plane means shaft seal is leaking.
good lukc
